Hayley Macri

A former student of the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy and performing with Sydney Youth Ballet Company from 1994- 2001. In 2002 she was asked to guest as the Sugar Plum Fairy & also competed in the Adeline Gene Awards. From 2002-2004 she furthered her classical training at the Heinz-Bosl Stiftung Ballet Academy Munich, Germany. During her studies at the school Hayley received her first professional 10 week contract with The English National Ballet Company, dancing Swan Lake at The Royal Albert Hall in London, under the direction of Matz Skoog.

 

In August 2004 Hayley received her Professional Dance Diploma in Munich & began her career starting with a full season in the Mainfranken Theatre Würzburg (Germany), with Anna Vita-dancing the lead role in Carmina Burana by Youri Vamos. From there Hayley joined The Deutsche- Oper- Am- Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg and danced there from 2005-2009. There she had the opportunity to dance many choreographies from her director Youri Vamos, including solos from Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet and also danced in Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Giselle, Cinderella, A Mid Summer Nights Dream, Le Sacre du Printemps and a number of other ballets in Germany & touring around the world. Hayley also got to dance Serenade by George Balanchine, Unisono by Hans Van Manen, Napoli by August Bournonville, Six Dancers and Symphony in D by Jiri Kylian, A Sort Of by Mats Ek and many more.

 

From 2009 Hayley worked at Theatre Hagen (Germany), as a soloist under the direction of Ricardo Fernando where he created the lead roles on her of A Firebird, Pulcinella, Nutcracker & Sleeping Beauty. Hayley has also been able to work with choreographers Young-Soon Hue dancing a Solo in Wave of Emotions and Nils Christe also dancing a Solo im Ein Kleines Requiem für eine Polka. Whilst there she was awarded by the dance critics the Prestigious prize of the second best female dancer in the area of North Rhein- Westphalia. 

 

In 2014 Hayley moved to London and studied at the Royal Academy of Dance gaining her PD Teachers Diploma. She was employed by the Ballet Boyz to establish a junior school, and also the London Studio Center and The Gielgud Academy. In 2015 she attained her level 2 in Fitness. Later in 2017 Hayley & her husband Matthew opened a ballet school in Kingston upon Thames, London.
